Many people claim to know God, but they do not love God. The proof, they are a lot of breaking God's commands and prohibitions. Why, it turns out they do not know God in truth.

At first glance, addresses the question of how to know God is not something foreign. It may even have a say as to what such things are discussed?
Do not we all already know and recognize our creator? Do not we have to admit it all?

If God knows the extent of the mosque, in the assemblies of dhikr, or the council of science or to know him when tripped over a stone, when he heard the death, or when getting the disaster and get the pleasure, perhaps such questions will be ejected.

What is meant in this discussion is to know God that will bring fear to Him, trust, hope, hang themselves, and submission to Him.
So that we can realize any form of obedience and away from all that is forbidden by Him. That would be reassuring when people upset-ridden experience in life, get a sense of security when people are overwhelmed with fear and be brave to face all sorts of life's problems.

In fact, many who claim to know God but they always engage in immoral acts to him day and night. So what benefits we know him if the situation is so? And what does it mean we know God while we break His commandments and prohibitions?

Therefore let us listen to a discussion of this issue, so we understand the nature of knowing God and can pick the fruit in the form of charity.

Knowing God there are four ways of knowing God's existence, rububiyah know God, to know Uluhiyah God, and know the names and attributes of God.

The four ways God has been mentioned in the Qur'an and Sunnah both in global and detailed. 


Qoyyim in the book of Ibn al Fawaid p. 29, says: "God invites His servants to know Himself in the Qur'an in two ways: first, to see any acts of God and secondly, to see and contemplate and explore the signs greatness of God as in His words: "Verily in the creation of the heavens and the earth and of day and night there (the signs of Allah) for people who have sense." (Surah Ali Imran: 190)

Also, in other words of his: "Verily in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the changing of night and day, and the ark that runs in the ocean that are beneficial to humans." (Surat al-Baqara: 164)

Being familiar with God.

That is faith that God exists. And the existence of God has been recognized by nature, reason, human senses, and it provided for by the shari'ah.

When one sees God's creatures of different shapes, colors, types and so forth, mind will conclude in all these things of course there are doing it and can not exist by itself. And the five senses we acknowledge the existence of God where we see people who prayed, called on God and ask for something, then God grant it. As for the recognition of nature has been mentioned by Allah in the Qur'an: "And remember when thy lose sons of Adam from the loin them and God took testimony against their souls (and said): 'Am I not your Lord' They replied: '(Yes You are our Lord) we told him (We do such) for you on the Day of Resurrection does not say:' Verily we are the sons of Adam are the people who guard against this (Thy oneness) or lest you say: 'Lo! Our old people have since ancient divinities God while we are descendants of the children who come after them.. '"(Surat Al A'raf: 172-173)

This verse is very clear proposition that the nature of a person acknowledges the existence of God and also showed, that human nature knows his Lord. The shari'ah evidence, we believe that the Shari'ah of God who brought the Apostles which contain serious benefits for all beings, showing that the shari'ah is to come from the Essence of the Wise.

Rububiyah Know God
Rububiyah God is the Oneness of God in three cases namely His creation, His power, and his arrangements. (See Sharh Aqidah Al Wasithiyyah Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al 'Uthaymeen p. 14)

Its meaning, believing that God is the Essence of who created, turn, turn, gives rizki, bring all the benefits and reject any harm. Essence who oversee, manage, rulers, and any other legal owner of everything that shows a single rule for God.

From here, a believer must believe that no man of God in this match. Allah says: "'Say!' He is God Almighty. God is the God who depend on Him Count something. He did not give birth and not begotten. And no one is equal to Him. "(Surat al Ikhlash: 1-4)

So when someone believes that besides God there is who has the ability to perform as above, means the person has been associating partners with Allah and associate him with other than Him.

In the matter of God rububiyah some ignorant infidels not deny it one bit and they believe that being able to do so is Allah alone. They do not believe that what they had been praying and glorifying able to do such things. Then what is their purpose to worship God that much is that? Do they not know if 'gods' they could not do anything about it? And what they want out of that god?

God has told in the Qur'an that they have two objectives. First, they get closer to God with in close as the word of God:

"And the people who make other than Allah as a helper (they say): 'We do not worship them only that they brought us in sight of Allah with close enough'." (Az Zumar: 3)

Second, for they give Syafa'at (defense) in Allah's sight.
Allah says:

"And they worship besides Allah from anything that does not harm and can provide benefits for them and they said: 'They (the god) is what gives us Syafa'at in Allah'." (Surah Yunus: 18, See Syubuhat Kasyfusy book works Shaykh Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahab)

Confidence some people disbelieve the monotheistic God rububiyah Allah has described in some of his words:
"If you ask them Who created them? They will answer God. "(Surah Az Zukhruf: 87)
"And if you asked them who created the heavens and the earth, and subdue the sun and moon? They will say God. "(Surat al-Ankabut: 61)
"And if you asked them who is down water from the sky and turn the earth after death? They will answer God. "(Surat al-Ankabut: 63)

Thus Allah describes their belief in monotheism rububiyah God. Their belief is so it does not cause them to enter into Islam and causing halal blood and treasure them so that the Messenger of Allah declared war against them.

Hence, if we see the reality that occurred in the midst of the Muslims, we realize how much damage that hit the creed of our brothers. Many still believe that apart from God, none could resist harm and bring mamfa'at, pass the exam, give success in business, and cure disease. So, they have in droves to beg on the graves of the righteous, or burial place of the guardian, or in sacred places.

They must also go to the shamans, fortune-tellers, and fortune-teller or by the term now paranormal. All deeds and this belief, a belief that is damaged and forms of persecution to God.

In short, no one can give rizki, cure all diseases, reject all kinds of distress, providing all sorts of benefits, happy, miserable, make someone rich and poor, who turn, the turn, someone who graduated from all sorts of exams, which raise and lower one's rank and position, except God. All this requires us to ask only Allah alone and not to other than Him.

Uluhiyah Know God
Uluhiyah God is the Oneness of all forms of worship for God, such as praying, asking, trust, fear, hope, slaughter, bernadzar, love, and in others of the kinds of worship that have been taught of God and the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam.

Consign one type of worship to other than Allah including dzalim great deeds in his side which is often termed Shirk in Allah.
Allah says in the Qur'an:
"Only to You, O God we worship and only thee O God we ask." (Surat al-Fatihah: 5)

Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam has guided Ibn Abbas radhiallahu' anhu with his words:
"And if you ask then ask Allah and if you ask for help then ask for help to God." (Narrated by Tirmidhi)

Allah says:
"And worship Allah and do you associate him with anything" (Surah An Nisa: 36)

Allah says:
"O mankind worship your Lord who created you and those before you, lest you become the pious." (Surat al-Baqara: 21)

With the verses and hadith, Allah and His Messenger have been clearly warned about not bolehnya someone to give a bit of worship to other than God because everything that belongs only to God alone.

Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "God spoke to experts the lightest adzabnya hell. 'Then if you have the world and what is in it and it seems again, will you redeem yourself? He answered yes. He said: 'Truly I want from you is lower than this and when you're in the ribs of Adam but you are reluctant to continue associating except me. "(Narrated by Muslim from Anas bin Malik Radhiallahu' Umar)

Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Allah says in the hadeeth qudsi:" I do not need to allies, so anyone who does one practice and he's associating me with my other and I will let him and his allies. "(Narrated by Muslim of Abu Hurayrah)

Concrete examples of these deviations uluhiyah God when a person experiences tragedy in which he hoped could be separated from that disaster. Then the person came to the tomb of a saint, or to a shaman, or to the shrine or to other places. He asked in that place for residents of the place or the shaman, can remove it from the calamities that befall him. He so wished and feared if not fulfilled his wish. He also offered sacrifices even bernadzar, promised to beri'tikaf in place if apart from the calamities like getting out of debt bondage.

Ibnul Qoyyim said: "Shirk is the destroyer of monotheism rububiyah and harassment of monotheism uluhiyyah, and berburuk thought of God."

Know the names and attributes of God

That is, we believe that Allah has the names of which he has named himself, who has been called by His Messenger. And have faith that God has properties of high menyifati He has himself and which have been notified by His Messenger. Allah has the names of the noble and high trait based on the word of God:

"And Allah has the names of the good." (Surat Al A'raf: 186)

"And God memilikipercontohan high." (Surah An Nahl: 60)

In this case, we must have faith in the names and attributes of God according to what is desired of God and His Messenger and do not menyelewengkannya slightest. Imam Shafi'i put basic rules when talking about the names and attributes of God as follows: "I believe in Allah and what comes from God and in accordance with what is desired by God. I believe in Allah and nothing coming from the Prophet in accordance with what is desired by the Prophet "(See Sharh Lum'atul I'tiqad Book of Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al Uthaymeen p. 36)

When talking about the properties and the names of God that deviate from that desired by Allah and His Messenger, then we have talked about Allah without knowledge base.
Of course such a forbidden and despised in religion. Allah says:
"Say: 'My Lord prohibits only evil deeds, whether visible or hidden, and sin, violate human rights without the right reasons, (forbid) ascribe God with something that God did not decrease hujjah (description) for that and (forbid
) you talk about God without basic science. "(Surat Al A'raf: 33)

"And do not say what you do not have the science to it, really hearing, sight, and hearts of all will be asked to answer coverage." (Surat al-Isra: 36)
